Anca Cimpeanu graduated from the University of Bucharest - Law School in 2006, obtained an LLM in Business Law from the same university in 2010 with a concentration in competition law, Selective Distribution Agreements, and is a member of the Bucharest Bar Association. Prior to joining RMDT, she has practiced and gained experience in international asylum law by working at the Romanian National Council for Refugees and has served as an EU law and international trade law consultant for a major Romanian company. She was part of the team that won the First prize at the Fifth Annual International Asylum Law Moot Court Competition, Budapest 2005.

Anca’s practice focuses on antitrust and competition law, mergers and acquisitions, privatizations, project finance, energy law with a focus on renewable energy, corporate and commercial law. She has been involved in several international financing projects combined with worldwide corporate reorganization processes and well as numerous green and brown field energy projects. Anca also attended the European Competition Law Summer Course organized by the Academy of European Law, Trier, Germany and wrote several legal articles for RMDT’s the Romanian Digest.

In addition to her native Romanian, Anca practices in English and Spanish and has a working knowledge of French. She is a certified English translator and holds a Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English.
